Virgin Australia Opens New Lounge

28th Dec 2013

Virgin Australia has marked another milestone in customer service with the opening of the new lounge located at Perth International Airport's Terminal 2.

Virgin Australia?s Terminal 2 is a domestic terminal and hosts the regional and charter carriers supporting the mining sector of the state of Western Australia.

While the new lounge is not that flashy compared to other lounges catered to international travelers, the new facility, certainly, is a welcome offering to Virgin Australia's growing customers in the domestic sector. The new regional lounge is patterned after its older cousin at Mackay Airport in Queensland. It is designed to hold up to 170 travelers at any given time.

The new regional facility offers the same basic design and principles as other flagship lounges of Virgin Australia, including its newly-improved lounge at Melbourne International Airport. The Perth lounge though is scaled-back version with limited offering in its food and beverage menu for the travelers.

The regular feature in every Virgin Australia lounge, the sandwich maker, is also there.

An all-new domestic lounge is already awaiting inauguration, tentatively scheduled before the end of next year, making it the airline's third facility to be located in the same airport.
